Use & Maintenance

Parasols

When not in use, we recommend always using a Platinum AeroCover parasol cover. The AeroCover protects against weather conditions, dust, and bird droppings. This helps keep the fabric clean, limits wear and tear, prevents discoloration, and extends the lifespan.

When folding a parasol, ensure that the strap falls over the frame and not just over the fabric. This prevents the parasol from flapping in the wind and minimizes the risk of wear and tear.

Shade Sails

Regularly check all attachment points and see if the fabric needs additional tension. This will significantly extend its lifespan. When the product is not in use for an extended period, during winter, strong winds, or prolonged rain, it should be taken down.

AeroCover

Never lay the cover flat on a tabletop. Maintain distance between the cover and the surface by placing an AeroCover spacer underneath. Similarly, always create a peak so that water can run off the cover, preventing water pockets from forming.

Where possible, loop the drawstring around a leg of a table or chair and tighten it to prevent it from blowing away. The drawstring can be fastened at multiple points.

Never leave cushions under the cover for an extended period (weeks). Regularly remove the cover from your furniture to allow them to air out properly. Store cushion bags indoors. Ensure that your outdoor furniture/parasol fabric/cushions, etc., are dry before covering them to prevent mold formation.
