Enjoy the sun safely

All shade products provide protection from the sun, but not all products offer protection against harmful UV rays. Fabrics from the Platinum collection are specially selected and offer 96% to 98% UV protection, providing very high protection.

The sun not only affects the skin but also the colour of the parasol canopy. The extent to which the canopy fades when permanently exposed to the sun depends on the quality of the fabric. Platinum offers various fabric classes, including fabric class 4 premium Spuncrylic, where discouloration of the fabric is minimal.

Spuncrylic is solution dyed and can be compared to the colour structure of a carrot; the fibers are dyed all the way through to the core. Fabrics that are not solution dyed have a white, uncoloured core and eventually show colour differences because the white core of the fiber becomes visible.
